Improve your craft, overcome writer’s block and nourish your creative wellbeing with award-winning poet and playwright Toby Campion.

A series of relaxed, living room writing workshops with a small group of friendly peers; each week you'll read and discuss work from leading authors and take part in carefully curated writing exercises designed to challenge your creative writing, build new skills and spark inspiration.

For complete beginners & experienced writers looking to re-invigorate their practice. Workshops will often use poetry as a springboard but your writing may be of any medium; memoir, script-writing, prose etc. Open to all, allies very welcome.

Every workshop:
- discover new authors & texts
- improve your writing craft through intensive guided exercises
- develop at least one new piece of your own writing
- receive advice & useful feedback on your work
- utilise writing as a technique for reflection & creative wellness
- get to know a group of friendly peers in a relaxed environment
- take home a packet of writing/prompts for optional further reading

TOBY CAMPION is an award winning poet, playwright, producer and presenter. Winner of the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award 2025 and shortlisted in the Forward Prizes 2024, Toby is a former UK National Poetry Slam winner and World Poetry Slam finalist. His debut play WRECK won the Fifth Word Theatre award for Most Promising Playwright and was produced at Nottingham Playhouse. Toby has performed his poetry across the UK and around the world, from Glastonbury Festival to the Royal Albert Hall to the South Korean National Assembly. Toby has been running creative writing workshops for over 10 years and works with groups of all ages and abilities.
